Happy Mother’s Day
With Mother’s Day just around the corner, this is a special time for me to reflect on how grateful I am for the mother that I had in my life. My mom was very beautiful and had a quiet soul, but very deep and had the patience of Job from the bible. She is no longer with us in this lifetime but I speak with her daily and know that she is with me always. The garden was a place where my mom used to spend her time as she took great enjoyment watching her flowers bloom while the numerous songbirds entertained her for hours.
It gives me great comfort and joy to know that the love that my own mother showered on me, provided the path that lead me to go out into the world and create an amazing life. I hope that my own beautiful daughter Tarah lives an incredible life filled with excitement, wonderment and much love and never gives up on living her big dream. Wishing all the moms out there a very Happy Mother’s Day and know that your very special gifts keep giving long after you have left us on earth.
Mother’s Day Poem
My Mother Kept A Garden
My Mother kept a garden,
A garden of the heart.
She planted all the good things
That gave my life its start.
She turned me to the sunshine
And encouraged me to dream.
Fostering and nurturing
The seeds of self-esteem.
And when the winds and rain came,
She protected me enough.
But not too much because she knew
I’d need to stand up strong and tough.
Her constant good example
Always taught me right from wrong.
Markers for my pathway
That will last a lifetime long.
I am my Mother’s garden.
I am her legacy.
And I hope today she feels the love
Reflected back from me.
